Hey y'all, Its been quite a while since I've talked to all of you. I've been trying to contact you earlier, but it seems that the company never really gives me enough time to write a letter actually worth reading. Since I was in Nashville, I've traveled quite a bit and met people in a lot of different countries, when I heard Schlumberger was an international country I didn't really think about it. There are a total of 31 people in my training class, ranging from about 21 to 28 years of age and those 31 people occupy a total of 19 different countries. I got into Paris last Monday and went straight to the clinic to get my physical. Three other Schlumberger (SLB) recruits were there for the same reason. Since then, we all went to the Eiffel Tower and bowling once, but not much else. After sitting down in class for about 9-10 hours a day, you don't really feel like doing much afterward except going to bed. On Friday, we left for Pau, a city in south eastern France, about a two hour drive from Spain. Each day we begin class at around 8 and end at 6 while throughout that time the temperature ranges from 100-105. Dinners at 1930, and then we find a way to spend the next hour or so until we go back to sleep again. Sunday we were off and went to Biarritz, France. Its on the coast pretty close to the Spanish border. We laid out for most of the day and rode some of the waves which were close to 12 feet high. From the time I complete this email, I'll only have three more days of class until I'm shipped off to Moscow for a day and then straight to Noyabrsk. There's a lot of Russians here so I've slowly been learning the language and it doesn't seem so hard once you get the basics down. After I'm in Russia for about a month, I get shipped somewhere else to start my technical training. As of this moment, I believe I will be going to Alexandria, Egypt, but the schedule isn't finalized yet. I'll talk to each of you individually if I ever get on AIM, as of this moment, they say AIM has a security problem with it and is not allowed, but I'm sure I'll find a way around that. I hope to hear from some of you guys soon, and I hope you have a good summer. For those of you that just graduated with me, have fun with your new jobs / schooling, and send me your new emails so I don't lose contact of you when our Vandy accounts expire.

da svidaniya,
